Welcome to the Noah Coleman Chapter, NSDAR!
The Noah Coleman Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR) is a friendly and diverse group of ladies from the young to the
young at heart. We come from a variety of backgrounds, careers, professions, and interests, but share one
common bond of having an ancestor who served or aided in securing the independence of our nation.
Our chapter holds luncheon meetings the third Saturday of the month from January through May
and August through October. The December meeting is held on the first Saturday of the month. There
are no regular scheduled meetings in June, July, and November. Our meetings are open to the public where
prospective members, guests, and family members are always welcome to join our meetings and special events.
During our meetings, programs are presented by a variety of guest speakers to promote the overall objectives of
the DAR relating to historic preservation, education, and patriotism. There is something for everyone to enjoy
and learn.

About Us
The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, organized in 1890, is a non-profit,
non-political organization of women nationwide and overseas with one common bond: to honor our American Revolutionary War ancestors
and to promote historic preservation, education, and patriotism in our communities.
The Noah Coleman Chapter, NSDAR, is a Centennial Chapter founded in 1906 which still cherishes the
values of its founding members. Today we follow the same rituals and beliefs of our charter members; to be a
part of our communities, to support and help our families in need, our youth, educators, veterans, and service members
through volunteerism, donations, scholarships, correspondence and awareness. Locally, we support our youth
through essay contest promoting American History, good citizenship, scholarships, and recognition of outstanding students
who are making difference within their communities. Our members show their passion and appreciation of our
veterans and active-duty military through volunteering and donations. We also support our local shelters for
women and their children by donating personal hygiene and clothing items. There are many other projects we are
involved in and we welcome new ideas of our members which promote the goals and objectives of our organization.
Membership
Any woman, regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background, who can prove her lineage
to a patriot of the American Revolution is eligible to join. Membership in our chapter is based upon
membership eligibility requirements established by the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution.

The DAR Genealogical Research System (GRS)
(GRS) is a free resource provided by the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution to aid general genealogical
research and to assist with the DAR membership process. The GRS is a collection of databases that provide access to the
many materials amassed by the DAR since its founding in 1890.
